Imagine a case where Monalisa was not what she is today and Leonardo da Vinci was not the artist of historical significance we know today. Then, imagine that Monalisa is one of the many art displays in a fast food restaurant; Perhaps you will find yourself neglecting the painting because of the assumption that there is no context that is too important to the painting, you don’t focus on the painting as a unit but admire its beauty as a whole class as any other painting in the same room, and that painting to you is just that kind of art with significance value of other easy-to-access commercial art (the fact is that there are millions more paintings in the same class as Monalisa when viewed from its technical skills). See, historical and context perspectives greatly influence the assessment of a subject and object. Modern and contemporary art enthusiast have high enthusiasm for certain subjects and objects because they find that the art genre and its works are an effective communication medium for ideas. There are values, history, ideology, and philosophy that are contained in every work of art; and when one studies it the level of enthusiasm for the art also increases.
